Welcome to Operations Division East (ODE)! Geographically we have the distinction of being the largest of the four patrol divisions within the Tucson Police Department, covering almost 120 square miles, which accounts for over 50% of the land mass within the city limits. Operations Division East’s boundaries are the eastern section of the city starting at Craycroft and running to the eastern city limits. The Operations Division East substation is located in the Golf Links Municipal Complex on Golf Links Road just east of Harrison. ODE shares the complex with the George Miller Golf Links Branch Library.
ODE is committed to providing the community and neighborhoods of the east side with the best service as possible. In order to achieve this goal personnel serving with ODE believe that we must work in partnership with the community. To this end, officers, staff, and Volunteers in ODE are working continuously in enhancing our relationship with the eastside community. Examples of this collaboration with the public include the
| citywide Lock it or Lose it Program (initiated in ODE), Crime Free Multi-Housing, and Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED). CPTED is a program where specially trained officers assist contractors and builders in designing both esthetically attractive and safe communities in our beautiful desert setting. Additionally, ODE has created a Division Advisory Committee where business owners, neighborhood leaders and other “stockholders” in the eastside community meet quarterly with the command staff of ODE. |
The city of Tucson is divided into five patrol divisions. Each division is divided into sectors, which are designated by the numbers on the map. When contacting a patrol division about a concern in your neighborhood or place of business, referring to the sector number may speed your inquiry. |
Teamwork, Personal Responsibility, and Fairness are critical values we in ODE embrace to enhance the quality of life within the eastside community. As we enter the new millenium, the vision of the Tucson Police Department restates and reminds us about the fundamental purposes of policing-and constantly reinforcing our bond with the community we serve, and are proud to protect.
